Sam’s Bin is a newly established waste collection and management company and currently operating from Okahandja up to Southern Regions of Namibia. It is a family business that is owned by Samuel Eksteen (Sampie) and his immediate family members. The company is registered as a member with the Recycle Namibia Forum (RNF) and is registered with Ministry of Trade and Industry as Sam’s Enterprises, but trading as Sam’s Bin Waste Collection. These documents are available on request.

We want to compete and complement favorably with the leading waste management companies in Namibia which is why we have put in place a competent quality assurance team that will ensure that every service carried out or related services rendered meet and even surpass our customers and/or partners’ expectations. Our goal is to provide excellent service to our partners and customers as we pride ourselves on the integrity and competence of our company and our employees. We also support the communities we are operating in by creating employment for the youth and the women of the smaller towns, informal settlement and rural areas.

Our main objective is to preserve our environment for the future generations by keeping it clean and waste free. We are currently in discussions with various local municipalities to assist with land for storage and waste collection. Hence the reason for this letter. We would like an opportunity to meet with you and the relevant stakeholders, provide a presentation and see how we can join hands to keep our environment clean, to preserve our deserts and oceans.

We plan to set up waste collection centres/shops in the different towns. We then create jobs by allowing individual waste collectors to come and sell their recyclable waste to us and in doing so, they can earn an income and start building their own small businesses. We are also targeting schools by providing training to the children on the 3R’s, being Reduse, Reuse, Recycle. We further run campaigns at schools and are busy with other initiatives for schools as well, because they are the future generation and they should be taught how to sustain and care for our environment.

With assistance from potential partners, Sam’s Bin will be able to expand our recyclable waste collection services and implement processes to ensure smooth running of such operations. In fact, my wife who is the GM for Sam’s Bin, is a Business Process Management (BPM) expert and she will attend to the processes to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Saying the above, Sam’s Bin is looking for partners who are serious about taking responsibility for our environment. Ultimately, by working together, we can help our country to live up to the perception of being ‘the cleanest country in Africa’, keep our environment clean, clean landfill sites, reduce dump sides and create a habitable and sustainable environment for us all.
