Awana Foods is a local business operating at Oshakati, sourcing excess and B-grade produce from farmers to convert into different products with the aim of prolonging shelf life while still retaining nutritional value, by making products such as chutney, concentrate syrups and dried vegetables.

Awana Foods was recently announced as the winner of the Food Waste Challenge, hosted by Capricorn Foundation.
