Development Workshop Namibia (DWN) is a registered Namibian NGO with a focus on sustainable urban development, informal settlements and the disadvantaged communities that reside in them. DWN works through partnership agreements with local authorities and in support of national development goals. It has four main programmes, focusing on land & housing, sanitation, early childhood education and urban infrastructure.
Sanitation Programme DWN intervene through:
Implemented Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) approach: community hygiene awareness and promotion
construction of Demonstration sanitation centers
Entrepreneurial solid waste management solutions through social enterprises: like recycling
GIS monitoring
DWN currently implements its sanitation programme in 10 towns.
